Customer Rental Agreement

These are the full rental terms referenced during the online quote process. Final pricing and availability are confirmed directly by Bayou Move Totes.

1. Rental Property

All totes, lids, and other rental equipment remain the property of Bayou Move Totes. The customer receives only a temporary right to use the equipment during the agreed rental period.

2. Customer Responsibility

The customer is responsible for the rented equipment from delivery until it is returned to, or collected by, Bayou Move Totes. The customer agrees to keep all equipment reasonably secure, clean, dry, and protected from misuse.

3. Permitted Use

Totes are for ordinary household, office, and moving purposes only. Customers may not use them for hazardous, illegal, explosive, flammable, corrosive, biohazardous, excessively heavy, or otherwise unsafe materials.

4. Packing, Loading, and Customer Property

The customer is solely responsible for packing, loading, securing, transporting, unloading, and protecting the customer's belongings unless Bayou Move Totes separately agrees in writing to provide another service. Bayou Move Totes does not insure the contents placed inside the totes.

5. Loss, Theft, and Damage to Rental Equipment

The customer is responsible for lost, stolen, missing, destroyed, or excessively damaged totes and lids while in the customer's possession and may be charged the applicable replacement or repair cost.

6. Rental Period, Late Return, and Pickup Access

The rental period begins on delivery and ends when all rental equipment is returned or collected. Additional rental charges may apply if equipment is unavailable on the agreed pickup date. The customer must provide safe and reasonable access for delivery and pickup.

7. Long-Distance and Out-of-Area Moves

Standard rentals are round-trip rentals with delivery and pickup within Bayou Move Totes' approved Southwest Louisiana service area. If the customer's move ends outside the approved service area, the customer remains responsible for returning all rented totes, lids, dollies, blankets, straps, and other rental equipment to Bayou Move Totes' approved service area by the agreed return date unless Bayou Move Totes approves a separate one-way or long-distance retrieval arrangement in writing. Any approved retrieval, shipping, transfer, or transportation charges are the customer's responsibility and will be disclosed or quoted separately. The rental period and any applicable late charges continue until all rental equipment is returned to or collected by Bayou Move Totes.

8. Cleaning

Normal cleaning is included. Additional cleaning charges may apply for excessive dirt, grease, food residue, paint, chemicals, odors, pests, bodily fluids, or other contamination.

9. Assumption of Ordinary Moving Risks

The customer understands that moving, lifting, stacking, carrying, loading, and unloading property involve ordinary risks. The customer accepts responsibility for choosing how the rented totes are packed, lifted, stacked, moved, and used.

10. Property-Damage Limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by Louisiana law, Bayou Move Totes is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential property damage arising from the customer's packing, loading, use, transportation, storage, or misuse of the rental equipment. Any limitation in this agreement applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

11. No Waiver of Liability Where Prohibited by Law

Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits liability where Louisiana law prohibits such an exclusion or limitation, including liability that cannot legally be waived in advance.

12. Customer Indemnity for Customer-Caused Claims

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the customer agrees to be responsible for claims, losses, or property damage caused by the customer's misuse of the equipment, prohibited contents, unsafe packing, unauthorized transfer of the equipment, or violation of this agreement.

13. Deposits, Charges, and Taxes

The customer agrees to pay the quoted rental price, delivery/pickup charges, applicable taxes, approved deposits, late charges, replacement charges, and other charges disclosed before or during the rental.

14. Availability and Estimates

Website quotes are estimates only until Bayou Move Totes confirms availability, delivery details, and the final price. A submitted quote request does not by itself guarantee inventory or a reservation.

15. Louisiana Law

This agreement is governed by Louisiana law. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

16. Electronic Acceptance

By checking the acceptance box and typing a name in the online quote form, the customer confirms that the customer has had an opportunity to review this agreement, understands it, and intends to accept it electronically.
